President Alberto Fernández shared a dinner this evening with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin as part of his tour to obtain support for debt renegotiations from European leaders.
"We will talk about investment projections. We want to invest in Argentina", said Merkel, stressing that the duo will talk specifically about coming to an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said her country knows that "Argentina does not have an easy economic situation," recognizing the significant debt renegotiations with the IMF that Argentina will soon face.
Merkel shared these comments in a joint conference with Alberto Fernández at the headquarters of the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin, minutes before the two heads of state had dinner.
